Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis was a pioneer of the scuba diving business, a local legend and member of the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. In the late 1950s, he began to scuba dive and became interested in underwater photography. This new hobby required specialized equipment, and Hollis' engineering degree led him to develop his own housings for underwater cameras. Hollis established Anchor Shack, a Hayward-based store selling underwater cameras in 1965. Soon, he was receiving mail orders for his housings.

Oceanic
The Hollis Scuba Oceanic brand has become one of the most famous and well-known names in Scuba Diving. The company was established by Bob Hollis, in 1972. Since then, it has become synonymous for high quality scuba equipment. Divers can use the company's products to rebreathe, as well as dive computers and innovative masks that have heads-up displays. The company also developed military diving equipment such as the MK-25, used by US Navy Navy frogmen and naval work divers.
Hollis offers scuba diving equipment
Hollis makes diving equipment that's both technologically advanced but also ergonomically designed. With engineering expertise, the company designs equipment to meet the needs of both beginning sport divers and seasoned technical divers. Hollis scuba equipment is made using the most up-to-date materials and the most reliable technologies.
Recalled dive computers
Hollis has recalled two dive computers. One of the flaws in them can lead to drowning. The air flow control system of the recalled dive computers is defective and could result in the diver losing control over their breathing underwater. These dive computers were purchased between November 2010 to July 2012 for around $1200. The affected units can be returned to a dealer or the factory for repair.
