Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis is a pioneer of scuba diving, a legend in the area and a member of International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. He started diving in the mid 1950s and discovered a passion for underwater photography. This new hobby required specialized equipment, and Hollis' engineering degree led him to develop his own housings for underwater cameras. Hollis started Anchor Shack, an underwater camera store in Hayward (California) in 1965. Soon, he was receiving mail orders for his housings.

Oceanic
The Hollis Scuba Oceanic brand is one of the most iconic and well-known names in scuba diving. Founded by Bob Hollis in 1972, the company has become synonymous with high quality scuba equipment. The company produces rebreathers, diving computers, and novel diving masks featuring heads-up displays. They were also involved in the design of military diving equipment including the MK-25 that is used by US Navy sailors and other naval divers.
Hollis scuba diving gear
Hollis makes diving equipment that's both technologically advanced but also ergonomically designed. Engineers from Hollis have designed equipment to suit the needs of both new and experienced technical divers. Hollis' scuba diving equipment uses cutting-edge materials made from proven technologies.
Recalled dive computers
Hollis-Scuba recalls several defects in its dive computers. These flaws can cause divers to drown. The air flow control system of the recalled dive computers is defective and could result in the diver losing control over their breathing underwater. The dive computers were sold for $1200 between November 2010 & July 2012. The factory can repair or replace the damaged units by returning them to the dealer.
