If you're interested in diving but aren't sure where to begin, an introductory course is perfect for you. Also known as a buceo (or baptism of water), this course is a great choice for those with little or no experience and those who are short on time. A dive instructor is required to teach you how to dive at 12 metres and above. You can also upgrade to Advanced openwater or Rescue certification if you take any more classes.

PADI Scuba Diver

There are many PADI Scuba Diver levels. If you are just starting out, you can begin with the introductory course. After achieving certain levels of competency, you can progress to a higher degree. PADI Scuba Diver's course is comprised of 14 modules. The modules are broken into three sections. The course lasts for three days but can be extended to 1/1.5 days. This is the most popular course in the world and will allow you to dive to 18 meters.

Advanced Open Water Diver

Open water divers who have successfully completed an Open Water Diver Course are considered advanced open water divers. AOW divers have the ability to dive at depths exceeding 60 feet. They can also improve their buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are many levels to an AOW certificate. These are the distinctions between each level. Read on to find out more about these different levels.

Rescue diver

There are three levels for Rescue Diver certifications: technical, recreational, or dive leader. International Standards Organisation (ISO), sets the standards for these levels. These levels are based on BS EN 140433-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1-2004. Level-one instructors are qualified to instruct recreational divers, assess their knowledge up to the diver level one and plan and conduct dives. They are also qualified to lead open-water divers and teach rescue skills.

Cave-1 class

Cave diver certification requires at least 40 hours of classroom instruction and practical experience. Course content includes information on hazards and the challenges of the environment, standard procedures and emergency procedures. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. They also must demonstrate their skills and proficiency by taking an exam and passing a quiz. Students must complete the cave diving course manual.

Master Scuba Diver

Master Scuba Diver certification has five levels. Open Water is the first level. It is where you learn to dive, manage your gear, and teach others. You have the option to choose electives for the second and third levels. As a Master Scuba Diver, you can choose to dive with others as long as they are certified as well. You also get a 10% discount on all five courses if you reach this level.
