Deep diving allows you to dive to depths that are not normally considered safe for divers. This may be due to prescribed limits set by a local authority. Additionally, you might have the opportunity to explore some the most beautiful underwater environments around the globe, including the Galapagos, Elphinstone Reef or the Blue Hole of Belize. Read on to discover more about the various locations and conditions that make deep diving an incredibly special experience.
Elphinstone Reef
For the best underwater experience, dive at Elphinstone Reef on a liveaboard. This location allows you to dive backwards. You will need to be confident with your backward roll. Early morning dives are the best time to see sharks or other marine life. You can also see more tropical fish. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to get close to the resident hawksbill turtle.
Blue Hole in Belize
The Great Blue Hole is a giant marine sinkhole located off the coast of Belize. This spectacular diving site is located close to Lighthouse Reef's center. At 124 metres deep and 318 metres across, the Great Blue Hole covers 70,650 square metres of surface area. These are some of most spectacular underwater scenes you will see in the entire world. This Belize diving spot is ideal for deep divers, as it has a cave-like feel and offers excellent visibility.

Galapagos
For a challenging and rewarding diving experience, try becoming a deep diver in Galapagos. Galapagos Islands have a lot of fascinating marine life. The water is often opaque and cold, making it difficult to see underwater. When the temperatures are lower and the currents are stronger, the Galapagos Islands are best for diving. This helpful guide is for scuba diving at the Galapagos.
Elphinstone
You will love the Elphinstone Reef's vibrant coral reefs and beautiful underwater life. The reef is 300 metres long and lies between 20 and 40 meters deep. It is covered by large gogonians, sponges and sea whips. Drop in to the finger-shaped plateau for redtooth triggerfish and giant trevally. It is possible to see a Hammerhead shark, which can be very rare and difficult to spot. This dive site features clear water and strong drift.
Belize Blue Hole
If you've ever dreamed about diving into the Caribbean Sea deep, you will have heard of the Great Blue Hole. Located about 62 miles from the mainland of Belize, the Blue Hole is a near-perfectly round hole. It is located at the Lighthouse Reef atoll's center and is approximately 125 meters in depth. While snorkelers and divers have been enjoying the surface waters of this reef for decades, few have ever ventured to its depths.
Elphinstone and his buddy group
Elphinstone is also known as Elfinstone and it's a great boat dive. This saltwater dive site is located near Marsa Alam. It can reach a maximum depth up to 150 feet (46m). Visibility ranges between 61-70 feet (19-21 meters).
