Instructors in diving teach and oversee scuba techniques in open or swimming water. They also supervise other activities like navigation exercises. Open water instructors lead students through the tour portion of dives. This includes the navigation exercise as well as the surface swim portion. The job description of a dive instructor may also include directing certified divers through a scuba review course. The legal responsibility of dive instructors varies from country to country. A waiver can be signed by a dive instructor to exempt them from legal liability in certain countries.

Certification requirements

To be a good divemaster, you must complete a course. The Divemaster course covers everything you need to know about managing divers, setting up dive sites, managing diver flows and finding the right flow for diving. Candidates must also have at least 60 dives logged. Divemasters are able to assist new divers in their theory and skills through teaching them.

Dive masters need to pass two parts of the exam in addition to taking classes. To pass the exam, candidates must score at least 75% on each part. The eRDPML and the PADI Instructor Manual will be used for the exam. Students will need to prepare an Emergency Assistance Plan and perform five waterskills exercises. The sum of all scores must equal at least 15 Divemasters must be certified after completing the course.

Internship required

Divermasters have many internship options. You can help with other PADI courses or set up dive sites depending on your preferences. As a skill circuit assistant, you may be required. The internship will follow a specific pattern. An internship typically lasts for eight weeks. During this period, you may be able to become an Advanced Open Water Diver. After four to five weeks of training, it is possible to become a Divemaster, Dive Guide, or Divemaster.

Free internships can be a bit frustrating, but you will have plenty of time for study and advice from a Divemaster. In some cases, your internship might include manuals, certifications, or equipment. You should also be aware of the requirements before enrolling in any Divemaster course.
