Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis was a pioneer of the scuba diving business, a local legend and member of the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. He started diving in the mid 1950s and discovered a passion for underwater photography. This hobby required specialized equipment. Hollis earned an engineering degree and was able to develop his own housings. Hollis founded Anchor Shack, an underwater camera shop in Hayward, California, in 1965. He started receiving mail orders soon for his housings.
Oceanic
The Hollis Scuba Oceanic brand is one of the most iconic and well-known names in scuba diving. The company was established by Bob Hollis, in 1972. Since then, it has become synonymous for high quality scuba equipment. Products include dive computers, rebreathers and new diving masks with heads up displays. They were also involved in the design of military diving equipment including the MK-25 that is used by US Navy sailors and other naval divers.

Recalled dive computer
Hollis's Scuba has recalled several dive computers that could cause drowning. The recalled dive computers have a faulty air flow control system that could cause the diver to lose control of their breathing underwater. These dive computers sold for an average of $1200 between November 2010, and July 2012. The defective units can be returned directly to the manufacturer or dealer for repair.
Warranty
Hollis Scuba Warranty helps protect your investment and ensures the equipment meets your expectations. As long as you properly care for it, the warranty will cover recreational scuba diving. Hollis will exchange or refund any equipment that has problems. This warranty does NOT cover shipping and handling. Additionally, your warranty is null if the equipment is used for military or commercial purposes.
