diving boards for pools

Deep diving allows you to dive to depths that are not normally considered safe for divers. This may be due to prescribed limits set by a local authority. In addition, you may have the opportunity to explore some of the world's most beautiful underwater environments, such as the Galapagos, Elphinstone Reef, or the Blue Hole in Belize. Continue reading to learn more about the conditions and locations that make deep diving such a special experience.

Elphinstone Reef

You can dive Elphinstone Reef from a liveaboard for the best underwater experience. In this location, you can also dive backwards. This means that you need to be comfortable in your backward roll. Early morning dives are the best time to see sharks or other marine life. There are also more tropical fish. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to get close to the resident hawksbill turtle.

Blue Hole in Belize

The Great Blue Hole, a huge marine sinkhole off Belize's coast, is the Great Blue Hole. This amazing diving spot is located near Lighthouse Reef, an atoll. The Great Blue Hole has a total surface area of 70.650 sq metres and is 124m below the waterline. Here, deep divers have the opportunity to see some of nature's most beautiful underwater scenes. Deep divers will love the cave-like environment of this Belize diving destination, where the water is warm and the visibility is high.

Galapagos

A deep dive in the Galapagos Islands is an exciting and rewarding experience. Galapagos Islands are home to incredible marine life. This is why the water in Galapagos Islands is so cold and can often be difficult to see. The cool season (June through October) is the best time for diving in the Galapagos Islands. It has cooler temperatures and stronger currents. You don't have to be a pro at diving in the Galapagos. This guide can help you make an informed decision.

Elphinstone

Dive the Elphinstone Reef for its pristine soft coral and vibrant marine life. This 300-metre-long reef lies between twenty and forty metres deep and is covered with large gogonians, sponges, and sea whips. The finger-shaped plateau is home to giant trevally and redtooth trevally. You might even spot a hammerhead, which is rare and very difficult to find. This dive spot offers clear water and strong drift.

Belize Blue Hole

If you've ever dreamed of diving deep into the Caribbean Sea, then you've surely heard of the Great Blue Hole. The Blue Hole lies approximately 62 mi from Belize's coast. It is an almost perfect circular hole. It is located at the Lighthouse Reef atoll's center and is approximately 125 meters in depth. Although scuba divers and snorkelers have enjoyed diving in its surface waters for decades, very few have dared explore its depths.

Elphinstone in a group of friends

Elphinstone is also known as Elfinstone and it's a great boat dive. This saltwater dive site is located near Marsa Alam. It can reach a maximum depth up to 150 feet (46m). Visibility ranges between 61-70 feet (19-21 meters).
