How to Become a Master Diver in the United States Navy

Master diver in the United States Navy ranks as the highest level of diving qualification one can attain in warfare. These enlisted personnel have the most knowledge, experience, and training in all aspects diving and underwater salvage. Master divers must have at least 15 years experience and have completed a specialization training course. By taking a specialization class, master diver status can be earned in the United States Navy.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

PADI Master Scuba Diver certification is an internationally recognized level of scuba diving proficiency. This program is offered by several North American diving training agencies including the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Scuba Schools International and the Professional Scuba Diver Association. This certification is considered the best available. The course requires that you dive at least 30 feet below water.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

A NAUI Master Scuba Diver course is a good option if you're looking to get to the next level of scuba dive. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge necessary to organize dives for others. You will learn how to use a compass, perform underwater communications, and recognize pre-panic signs. You will also learn how you can lead a dive at a new location. This course includes both classroom sessions and open water dives.


NAUI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

The NAUI Enriched air (NITX), Master Diver course will help you to improve your diving skills. This course covers all aspects of enriched air diving including mixing Nitrox and Oxygen. The course teaches students how to analyze the breath mixture and how the physiology of nitrogen and oxygen affects the safety of handling the gases. In addition, they'll learn the concept of Equivalent Air Depth and common gas mixing techniques. The enriched air course can be taken as an extension of an open water diver's Scuba Diver certification course, as it is a prerequisite to use the enriched air mix.

NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver

To achieve your dream of becoming a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver Master Dive Instructor, you must complete the necessary courses. This certification is a prerequisite in the NAUI FIT program, which will prepare you to be a professional NAUI Instructor/Leader. Take the Try Scuba program to get started. The goal of this program is to teach you the basic skills and knowledge required to safely dive in open water.

NAUI First Aid course

The NAUI First Aid Course for Master Divers will help you respond to various emergencies in the water. Refresher sessions are included, as well as information on the latest First Aid standards. You will have the knowledge and skills to immediately respond to an emergency. The course is also uniquely hands-on, allowing you to practice the skills that you learn in the classroom.
