TDI Extended is a course that caters to divers who don't have access to Trimix. It emphasizes skill development and solid procedures. Students will learn to use up two decompression gases, and how to safely dive in an Extended Range environment. TDI Extended Range training dives can be conducted with nitrox, air or both.
TDI Trimix
TDI Trimix certification opens the doors to many new dive sites. This certification gives divers more bottom time and allows them to dive up to 60 meters/200 ft. Extended Range courses are also available online. If you're unable to find a dive center in your area, you can complete the course online with TDI eLearning. This course will teach you all about the benefits of extended range diving.
You will be able to dive in more difficult environments and have a lower nitrogen narcosis with the Extended Range course. You will learn how to plan stage decompression dives using up to two stage bottles, enriched air, or oxygen. The Extended Range course can be combined with TDI Trimix Diver Certificate.
TDI Trimix training can prepare you for advanced dives and allow you to dive up 60 meters in normoxic conditions. TDI Trimix training focuses primarily on safety and skill improvement, since any problems at this level must be resolved quickly. Divers must be familiar with the procedures and feel comfortable using them.
