There are many good reasons to learn Nitrox certification. You will be able to enjoy the thrills of enriched air through Nitrox diving. It can also help you feel more confident as a diver. Certification courses are offered by several organizations. Here are some of them: NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver, SSI Adventure Diver, and Open Water Diver.
PADI Enriched Air Diver
The PADI Enriched Air Diver (EANx) certification is for divers who wish to extend the bottom time of their dives. The course includes a short classroom session and home study. The EANx course covers the oxygen content of the scuba tank and how to use a scuba oxygen analyser. It also covers standard procedures for recording the oxygen percentage in the tank.
Air divers who have been nitrox-enriched can extend their time underwater without needing to stop often. The air mix has a lower amount of nitrogen, which gives them a greater safety margin. Additionally, enriched air mixtures usually contain 32% to 36% oxygen which makes them suitable for diving at shallow depths.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
A enriched air diver certificate is a great step to start your dives. This course teaches you the fundamentals of blending air, the risks associated with high oxygen concentrations, and how to handle the equipment. Furthermore, you'll be able to use a divecomputer and analyze the contents. You'll also learn the Equivalent Air Depthance and how to use a standard dive table. You'll also learn about common blending procedures for nitrogen and oxygen.
Nitrox is also known as enhanced air. This type of breathing gas contains more oxygen then standard air. You can stay underwater for longer periods of time without having to refill your tank. This is good news for your health, as it alleviates decompression fatigue. Also, enriched divers have shorter surface intervals.
SSI Adventure Diver
SSI, an internationally recognized dive organization, offers the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification. You must have knowledge and experience in order to be certified. You must have completed at minimum 50 dives as well as four specialty courses in order to receive this award.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox course teaches students how to dive in low visibility. It teaches divers how navigate in dark conditions, use specialized equipment, communicate with other divers, and how to communicate with them. Once they have completed the course, they will receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating and will be eligible for the SSI Nitrox Specialty certification.

SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver Course is an internationally recognized certification program. It includes three sections: academic learning; in-water swimming pool training; and multiple open water dives. During this course, you will learn how to plan and dive using enriched air mixes up to 40% oxygen. This can improve your bottom time and decrease your surface intervals. Additionally, it may prevent you from getting decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI differ in how they handle certifications. With a PADI certification, you are required to purchase your manual. You will receive your card from your dive center, if you are a SSI certified diver. PADI certification centers can also issue temporary cards which you can use to prove your certification.
